Protecting your Cademy account for events with multi-factor authentication (MFA / 2FA)
Note: If you require a Cademy account for your role to organise and manage diocesan events please raise a support ticket. A diocesan google account will also be assigned to you so you can sign in with Google.

Cademy.io is used to organise and manage diocesan events however signing in with a password does not provide adequate security to protect personal data because multi-factor authentication, also known as MFA or 2FA, is not available. We can however use our diocesan Google accounts to sign in instead which does provide MFA functionality.
Sign into Cademy with your diocesan Google account
Warning: A diocesan google account is required to sign into Cademy. Please raise a support ticket if you have not yet been issued with one.
Warning: If you take too long signing in you may end up on a blank page. In this happens, start again from step 1.
- Go to the Cademy sign in page:
- New Users: In the invitation email select Accept Invitation
- Create a password for your account first then once the invitation has been accepted, sign out and go to the next step.
- Existing Users: Go to cademy.io/login
- New Users: In the invitation email select Accept Invitation
- Select Continue with Google.
- You will be redirected to the Google sign in page.
- Select or enter your diocesan email address and select Next.
- If this is the first time using Google to sign into Cademy you need to agree to sharing your Google details with Cademy. Select Continue to share.
- You will be redirected to the diocesan sign in page
- Enter your diocesan email address and select Next.
- Enter your diocesan password (same as your computer password).
- If asked, complete the multi-factor authentication request.
- You should now be logged into Cademy.
- To confirm you use Google to sign into Cademy visit:
- Cademy.io > My Account > User Settings > Login & Security >
- Under Change Password it will say "You are currently signed in with an external provider"
