For Cyber Essentials we only allow access on iPhones or iPads that are running up to date iOS. If you've been asked to update your diocesan device or been blocked from access please update your device.
- Start the update on WiFi when prompted or go to:
- Settings
- General
- Software Update
- Follow the onscreen instructions
- For diocesan devices not on a diocesan Three Mobile tariff (which has unlimited data), we recommend avoiding using mobile data to download the update.
- Temporarily switch off in Settings > Mobile Data if necessary.
- Plug device in to complete installation if battery is near 50% or less.
- An update involves a restart of your device. If it has not restarted please check the status of the update in Software Update as it might be waiting for your confirmation to install the update and enter your passcode.
