Generate your own QR code to share links, documents, or information quickly and easily

QR codes are a quick and convenient way to share information without typing long URLs or details. By scanning a QR code with a smartphone or tablet, users can instantly access websites, documents, or other resources.

How to create a QR code with Microsoft 365 Copilot

  1. Open the Microsoft 365 Copilot app on your computer or mobile.
    1. Windows: Select the start button 
    2. Type copilot and select the Microsoft 365 Copilot app
  2. In the chat windows ask Copilot to generate a QR code for you
    1. eg. "create a QR code for https://www.stalbansdiocese.org"
    2. Use links to web pages or SharePoint or OneDrive files (ensure files are shared correctly first)
  3. A QR code will be generated
    1. Select the copy icon (top right) to copy onto your clipboard
    2. Or select the download icon (top right) to download it as a png image file to your downloads folder
  4. Test the link works with a smartphone or tablet camera before publishing
