# Approved Cloud Services \[link to article\]

## Cloud-based apps and website services approved for diocesan use

For every account created for a web service, consideration needs to be made on how secure the service is and whether diocesan data can be protected, managed and deleted in line with **[The Data Protection Act 2018 (UK GDPR) legislation](https://www.gov.uk/data-protection)** and **[Cyber Essentials](https://www.ncsc.gov.uk/cyberessentials/overview)**.

It is therefore mandatory that cloud services you use are approved by the IT Team and guidelines on its use are followed.
