Setup your cloud service multi/two-factor authentication on multiple mobile phones, tablets or computers
Yes you can use multiple devices when presented with a QR code or its equivalent manual code during MFA setup. Have the same MFA codes generated in all the authenticator apps you use as a backup and for convenience.
Warning: This needs to be done when you're setting up a new MFA method. If MFA has already been setup, reset the MFA method in your account. Search this knowledge base for how to reset MFA for the different cloud services we use.
- Scan the QR code or enter the code manually into the authenticator app when adding an account.
- Scan the same QR code or enter the code manually into the other authenticator apps on all the devices you wish to use.
- The MFA codes generated for that account in all the authenticator apps should match.
- Enter the MFA code into the validation field and follow the on-screen instructions to complete setup.
