How do I enable, configure or disable Ease of Access on a Windows computer?

Ease of Access makes your computer more accessible, based on your needs. Help vision by increasing font size or magnifying, enable a narrator and dictation. Use this guide also if you have turned on narrator by accident and cannot sign in.

Quickly toggle Accessibility Settings on and off

Use this if you have turned on Narrator by accident and cannot sign in

  • On the keyboard either press the Windows logo key and U key together or select the Accessibility icon in the bottom right of the sign in screen or taskbar

  • Toggle the ease of access feature you want on or off

Sticky Keys

Pressing the shift key 5 times in quick succession enables Sticky Keys.

With Sticky Keys enabled, any modifier key (Alt, Shift, Ctrl, or the Windows key) you press once will remain in a locked state until you tap it again.

To instantly disable sticky keys, double-tap any modifier key (Alt, Shift, Ctrl, or the Windows key) .
