My Microsoft Form Responses Excel spreadsheet is no longer receiving updates from the form

Resolve error: Open from Forms This form is linked to a different workbook. Go to Forms to open the linked workbook.

This error means that the workbook you are viewing for the form responses has become disconnected from the Microsoft Form. To resolve:

1. Backup the Excel workbook with the error by saving it to another location to recover any changes you have made to this spreadsheet.
2. Open your form in Microsoft Forms >
3. In the top menu, select Responses
   
4. Under the Insights and actions column on the right select the down arrow next to the Excel file
5. Select Disconnect and sync to a new workbook
   
6. Select OK
   
7. A new workbook will open in Excel on the Web.
8. Use the previous workbook backup you made in step 1 to copy over any changes you made into the new workbook.
