Troubleshooting calendar sync errors
Reasons could be:
- Your device you entered the appointment onto is either not connected to the internet or you're not signed into your diocesan Microsoft 365 account and you need to re-enter your password.
- You've entered the appointment into the wrong calendar.

Outlook on the Web

This is what the Microsoft 365 server holds. Anything on here will be synced to all devices you have added your calendar to. If you are missing appointments in Outlook on the Web then the problem lies with whichever device they were entered on because they haven't synced to the cloud. If you can see them in Outlook on the Web then the problem lies with the device that is missing the appointments.
Outlook Desktop
- In Outlook look at the bottom right of the window at the current status. If it says Need password then click on it and enter your password. The password field might be behind Outlook, either minimize to view or restart Outlook Desktop.
- Ensure you're viewing the correct calendar
Outlook App (Apple & Android)
- Check for any messages asking to sign in.
- In the Calendar tab, tap the top left icon and ensure you are looking at the correct calendar. Tap the calendar's name to view or hide. If the calendar is missing, add it on. See:

Apple Calendar app
- Check you're signed in:
- Settings > Calendar > Accounts > Diocese of St Albans
- If it says 'Re-enter password', select that link and follow it through to get you signed in again.
- Check you're viewing the correct calendar:
- Open the Apple Calendar app
- Select Calendars at bottom and ensure the Diocese of St Albans is shown. Note your main diocesan calendar might be called something different.
- Check which calendar the missing appointments are in. If they're in another calendar, eg. a calendar that's just stored on your device (Apple have one called Work by default for example) then open the appointment and select the correct calendar for that appointment.
