Use an on-screen keyboard with a touchscreen or if you're having trouble with your laptop's / USB / bluetooth keyboard
Enable the on-screen keyboard from the lock screen
If you computer is locked, on the sign-in screen select the accessibility icon in the bottom right:- Windows 11
- Toggle On-screen keyboard to On
- Windows 10
- Select On-Screen Keyboard
Enable the on-screen keyboard in Windows
Using a keyboard shortcut
- Press the Windows key + CTRL + the letter O (for Oscar)
In Settings
- Open Settings
- Select Accessibility (Windows 11) or Ease of Access (Windows 10)
- Select Keyboard (Windows 11 right side / Windows 10 left side)
- Toggle On-screen keyboard (Windows 11) or Use the On-Screen Keyboard to On
- Windows 11

- Windows 11
Close the on-screen keyboard
- Select the X in the top right corner of the keyboard (marked in green above)
