Outlook Desktop is auto-completing an incorrect email address or name in the To / CC / BCC fields in a new email message

Modify stored contacts in Outlook Desktop

1. Check your Outlook Address Book

Amend any incorrect email addresses or names stored under My Contacts in Outlook

2. Manually sync the Offline Global Address List

Organisational contacts are handled by the server and you may need to resync your Outlook desktop to reflect recent changes.

3. Clear the AutoComplete cache

Outlook Desktop stores a local copy of recently used email addresses for quick access in the To, CC and BCC fields. Changes made in 1 and 2 above won't change these suggestions. Instead, enter their email address or name and select the X on the right of the incorrect suggestion to clear from Outlook.
