How do I browse Microsoft Edge InPrivate or Google Chrome in Incognito Mode?

Open a private internet browser session

What is InPrivate / Incognito Mode?

When you use InPrivate or Incognito Mode, your browsing data (like your history, temporary internet files, and cookies) isn't saved on your device once you're done.

When you open a private session you aren't signed into any website which is useful when you want to quickly check what the end-user will experience on a website or when using shared links from SharePoint or OneDrive.

How to start a private browser session

  1. In Microsoft Edge or Google Chrome, select the 3 dots in the top right
    1. Alternatively right-click the Edge or Chrome icon in the taskbar
  2. For Microsoft Edge, select New InPrivate window
  3. For Google Chrome, select New Incognito window
