How to Transfer calls with ring back in Microsoft Teams and Teams Phone Mobile

Transfer a call

  1. In an active call select Transfer.
  2. Select the transfer method:
    1. Transfer = Transfer the call directly without consulting.
    2. Consult then transfer = Talk to the person you wish to transfer the call to before transferring.

  3. Wait a few seconds for the Transfer the callChoose a person to consult window to appear.
  4. Type in the person's name you wish to transfer the call to.
    1. If the person is external, ie. does not have a diocesan account, enter their phone number instead.
      1. Select their name.
        1. For direct transfers optionally enable Ring back if there's no answer.
        2. For consulting transfers, choose the consulting method; Chat or select the arrow down:
          1. Chat lets you type a message in Teams Chat.
          2. Teams audio call lets you call them in Teams.
          3. Numbers displayed lets you call their other phone numbers
      2. Select Transfer when you are ready to transfer the call.
      3. For consulting transfers, if you don't want to transfer the call after consulting, select Leave then Resume in the original call window.
