How can I access my emails, calendars and files in an internet browser, eg. Edge, Chrome, Firefox or Safari etc?

Access your emails and files via the web versions of Outlook, OneDrive and SharePoint when you don't have access to a diocesan device or your Office applications are not working

  1. Emails, calendar and files can be accessed online at office.com
  2. Sign in with your diocesan credentials:
    1. Username: For diocesan & bishops' staff, this is your own name email address in most cases.
    2. Password: For diocesan & bishops' staff, this is the same as your computer sign in password in most cases.
  3. Press app launcher icon The app launcher icon in Office 365 top left to access the Microsoft apps such as Outlook (for email), SharePoint or OneDrive (for files), Calendar, Teams etc.
  4. For email, shared mailboxes won't be shown by default but can be added. See:

Warning: Remember to log out of your account once you've finished your session, especially when using a shared or public computer, to maintain the security of your account.

Key features and navigation options:

  • Mail: This section allows you to read, compose, send, and manage your emails. You can organize your mailbox into folders, create rules, and apply filters.

  • OneDrive: Your personal file storage.
  • SharePoint: Shared file storage with the team or department you work with.
  • Word: Word Processor.
  • Excel: Spreadsheets to budget, plan and calculate.
  • Powerpoint: Presentations.
  • Forms: Customise surveys and questionnaires.
  • Microsoft Teams: Video conferencing for online meetings.
