What is my diocesan AppleID, Canva, Google, IT Knowledge Base, Microsoft and Printix account username and password?

Certain diocesan services use single-sign on (SSO) with your diocesan Microsoft 365 account

What is Single Sign-On (SSO)?

This basically means you use one username and password for multiple services.

Tip: You will know if the service uses single sign-on (SSO) because you will see the diocesan logo and the IT help link when signing in:

The main account used for SSO is your diocesan Microsoft 365 account which is what your diocesan computer, email, OneDrive and SharePoint and other Microsoft apps also uses.

Tip: Your username for single sign-on (SSO) services is your diocesan email address.

Your password is the same as your computer password.

Services where SSO is currently being used with Microsoft 365 are AppleID (ending @stalbansdiocese.org only), Canva, Google, this IT Knowledge Base and Printix. See the full list of services here:

Approved Cloud Services >

More services may be added in future.

By using SSO on we are simplifying using and managing multiple accounts:

  • You do not need to remember so many passwords, just remember your Microsoft 365 password.
  • You do not need to setup multi-factor authentication (MFA) for every service. MFA methods in Microsoft 365 will be used when signing in.

If you need to change your diocesan Microsoft 365 account password or MFA methods please see:

How do I reset or change my Microsoft 365 password and multi-factor authentication (MFA / 2FA)? >

What is my password for other software and services that don't use single sign-on (SSO) ?

Accounts such as the diocesan database, diocesan website and resource centre, BreatheHR, LastPass and Webex etc are managed by these services themselves and aren't connected to your Microsoft 365 account.

If you have forgotten your password for any of these services, there is usually a reset or forgotten password link on the sign in screen. Search this knowledge base or the service's website for guidance on recovering your account. Raise a support ticket if you still have difficulty getting into your account.
