      How do I scan a document using my mobile phone?

      Use an app with a scanning function instead of taking a photo with the mobile camera

      Using a document scanning app results in higher-quality, size-optimized scans compared to simply photographing documents with a camera app. This is particularly advantageous when emailing documents, as most email services have attachment size limits.

      Microsoft Lens app (iPhones, iPads & Android)

      Note: Microsoft Lens is installed on diocesan devices and in the Company Portal app

      Microsoft 365 app (iPhones, iPads & Android)

      Note: The Office 365 app is now called the Microsoft 365 Copilot app and is installed on diocesan devices and in the Company Portal app.

      To scan select the Create tab then select Scan.

       

      OneDrive app (iPhones, iPads & Android)

      Note: Microsoft Lens is installed on diocesan devices and in the Company Portal app.

      To scan select the Plus (+) button then select Scan.

      1. Press and hold the Apple Notes app
      2. Select Scan Document
      3. The camera will open
      4. Point the camera at the document to scan
      5. Share the document, eg. OneDrive to access on your computer or Email
